Textile Madagascar: ACTUAL TEXTILES Strengthens Its Commitment to Solidarity with a Donation of Recycled Blankets

On the occasion of World Charity Day, celebrated on August 29, 2024, ACTUAL TEXTILES, a key player in textile manufacturing in Madagascar, reaffirmed its social commitment by supporting the FUFI Mifanasoa orphanage. Located in the fokontany of Ambohipanja, in the commune of Ankadikely Ilafy, the orphanage welcomes children in precarious situations. To help them cope with the austral winter, the company donated blankets made from recycled textile materials, sourced from its own production workshops.

A More Supportive and Responsible Textile Industry in Madagascar

This initiative is fully in line with ACTUAL TEXTILES’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, pursuing a dual mission:

Supporting local communities by improving the well-being of disadvantaged children.
Promoting the circular economy by repurposing fabric scraps into useful and durable products under the “Bémiray” brand.

By integrating upcycling into its solidarity initiatives, ACTUAL TEXTILES demonstrates that it is possible to combine industrial performance, social impact, and environmental responsibility. This is an exemplary approach for the textile sector in Madagascar, which faces challenges in sustainable development.

Collective Mobilization for a Concrete Impact

This project would not have been possible without the mobilization of employees, who actively participated in the design and production of the blankets. Their involvement reflects the engaged and supportive corporate culture that drives ACTUAL TEXTILES.

During the official donation ceremony, Mezbine HIRIDJEE and Ilann HIRIDJEE, the company’s leaders, emphasized the importance of ongoing commitment:

💬 “World Charity Day is an opportunity to remind us that our success must also be a means to help the most vulnerable. By combining solidarity and sustainability, we prove that a more humane and responsible textile industry is possible in Madagascar.”

Towards a Sustainable Future for Madagascar’s Textile Industry

Through this initiative, ACTUAL TEXTILES strengthens its role as a leader in ethical textile production in Madagascar. By integrating circular economy principles, social inclusion, and ecological innovation into its business model, the company inspires the entire sector to move toward more responsible production.

This initiative sends a strong message: the textile industry in Madagascar can be a driver of positive change, combining economic performance with social responsibility.
